• Different from other lightweight self-inflating mats? Yes. The Delta Core technology reduces the weight and packed volume by 40% - and the Comfort Light is a full 2" thick (compared similarly-priced 1.5"-thick self-inflating mats.)
• Insulated well enough for three-season temperatures? Yes. The Comfort Light SI Mat has a tested R-Value of 3.1 - suitable for use from Spring to Fall.
• Small enough when packed to use for backpacking? Possibly. The packed size of 5.75"x10" (Regular) will fit into most conventional backpacker's 60 Liter packs. Performance-oriented backpackers may prefer an air mat - see above.
